The Simmons Company or The Simmons Company - Real Estate Appriasal & Consulting
I am the co-owner of a commercial appraisal firm. We specialize in appraising commercial real estate across the state of Kansas. Commercial real estate includes retail, restaurants, office buildings, apartment buildings, industrial buildings, warehouse, etc. WE DO NOT APPRAISE HOUSES. Our office is based in Manhattan, Kansas, which is a town of 55,000, but we also work in many small and large towns across Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. Although Manhattan is a metro area, we are in the middle of the flint hills (google: Konza Prairie) and our area is by no means flat.
What do we do? We inspect a commercial property and determine what the market value of that real estate is, and then we report that market value in a 10-90 page appraisal report that is printed and delivered to our client, and is also sent electronically in PDF format.
I've added some comments since original post. I would really like to guarantee this project, but need to see a little more variety. I would like to see the logo reflect some indication of my business. A logo with an "S" variation doesn't say much about our business.
Our clients are mostly banks and lawyers. Our appraisals are 80 percent of the time, going to a bank for lending purposes, and 10 percent of the time going to a law office for an estate or tax purposes. The remaining 10 percent of our customers are individuals.
Just to give a little more information, our clients generally come to us, so we don’t advertise at all, except for our free yellow pages listing.
1.The logo should be easily printed/displayed on business cards, stationary, websites. The logo will be displayed on the cover, first page, and possibly within the footer of every single appraisal we produce.
2.The logo should be no more than 3-color, ideally 2-color, but should also work in black and white applications.
3.Please no residential or house images within the design.
4.The logo should present a professional company, and should convey wisdom, neutrality, simplicity and professionalism.
Inspiration notes:
Colors: Purple, Green, Black, Grey, Orange, Red...Please NO BLUE. No bright vivid colors. I must admit, I do enjoy seeing some of the subtle geometric shape designs, but I am not totally committed to that.I have always been inspired by Frank Llyod Wright patterns and designs. Mark/Icon could resemble or give sense of a building. See this contest for inspiration: http://99designs.com/logo-design/co…roup-38792
