SDOZ stands for San Diego Opportunity Zones, which are specific areas within San Diego that if invested in, qualify for special tax benefits. This investment fund will focus on real estate development projects, strictly high-density apartment buildings, in these gentrifying areas. Our buildings will have contemporary designs and a focus on technology yet the buildings will have enough of a hipster vibe to attract millennial tenants through mid-century modern aesthetic, bespoke furnishings, and provocative art.
The target audience for the logo is potential investors to the fund, which will be other investment professionals and high net worth individuals.

A primary design focus should be placed on the "sdoz" - maybe with the "Real Estate Fund" in smaller font underneath it). "sdoz" does not need to be lowercase but may give more of a youthful vibe. We will often use just the "sdoz" portion of the logo on marketing materials, website, etc.
However, we want our youth, focus on technology, and connection to the culture of the neighborhoods we look to transform to come out in how we market ourselves. The founders of the fund are institutionally trained professionals so we want to balance our youthful ideas with our sophisticated backgrounds. We want to show that we can put a fresh spin on the status quo while still demonstrating that we know what we're talking about.
We will not be building any single-family houses or high rises so please avoid the typical clip art seen on a lot of real estate or builder company logos. A picture is not necessary, well formatted and colored letters would be sufficient.
Logo will mostly be placed on a white background (business cards / website).
