eTail (https://etailwest.wbresearch.com/) is an eCommerce and online retail conference that has been running for around 15 yeas now. The event attracts mostly marketers from retailers so the predominant audience is in its late 20s to early 40s. One of the main event differentiation is the event experience and the focus on meeting exceptional people in the industry.

- What does the logo currently convey to us
Best Buy knock off
Outdated (tag no longer conveys online commerce)
Heavy / non versatile (Doesn’t interact well with other creative elements)
- What do we want it to convey
Forward looking / Next Gen / modern, but timeless
Versatility (to maintain its integrity and serve its purpose no matter what the use)
Attached is a document with some industry logos that we like a well as out current logo.
We are hoping for two types of logos from the exercise:
1. A very minimalist logo saying eTail - perhaps only plain text in a font that matches our brand. This would be a version with no icons. The text can be horizontal - no need to keep the angle.
2. An evolution of our current logo - if we were to portray less of a departure from our current logo. Perhaps this means just the eTail text with a forward arrow to the right side with a removal of the red tag (we don't want to keep that). Or other variations of a more minimal version of our logo.
