After reviewing all the details below, please let me know if you have any questions! We have been really pleased to work with all of the great designers at 99Designs.
**Please review the attached crest. Giant_Artisan did a great job creating this crest (he won the contest)! We want to continue building off this crest, primarily focusing on the font of the "MG" and adding the wordmark "MollenhourGross". I have included the crest that Giant_Artisan created in EPS, JPG, AI, and CDR formats. We retain the rights to these files and are only putting them here for you to use to create variations for this contest. The files should not be used in ANY other applications or contests. Thanks!
**Applications: The crest needs to be simple so that it can be easily applied to a wide variety of applications ranging from websites and thank you cards, to being imprinted on leather and wood products for custom gifts.
**Elements of crest we like:
-The shape of crest.
The diagonal line through the crest.
-The acorn in the left corner is light blue.
-“Est. 2004” is a simple font, easy to read, and the placement allows it to be removed for very small applications where the lettering might become blurred. Removing it would not throw off the balance/placement of the other elements.
-“MG” is prominent, simple, and the letters are not overlapping.
-“M” is a dark blue. “G” is a light blue.
**Elements of crest that need to be revised and/or considered:
-Font. We would like to see a wide variety of options for the wordmark AND the "MG" inside the crest.
-The style of font is currently open to debate. If we begin with the end in mind, the goal is to use the crest in a wide variety of applications--small prints, web, embossed, impressed on leather, burned onto wood. How does the font look if the crest is 6 feet tall on a sign, 3 inches wide on a website, or 1 square inch embossed on a leather desk mat?
-The M and G should not overlap/touch inside the crest.
Task #1: Create variations of the crest keeping everything constant from the list of “elements we like” and only changing the font of “MG”.
Task #2: Create variations of the crest with the wordmark "MollenhourGross." See this link for examples https://company-51807.frontify.com/…arton-logo
Again, I have included the crest that Giant_Artisan created in EPS, JPG, AI, and CDR formats. We retain the rights to these files and are only putting them here for you to use to create variations for this contest. The files should not be used in ANY other applications or contests. Thanks!
