Mission: “The Rouse exists to improve the quality of life for those who cannot fully care for themselves, regardless of age or economic status. We do this by continually expanding our knowledge, broadening our continuum of care and improving our services.”
The Rouse services are currently grouped in three main categories:
- child daycare
- personal care (previously know in the industry as “assisted living”)
- skilled nursing care
Specific personal care and nursing services include:
- Respite care
- Short and long term care
- Rehab services
- Behavioral health
- Alzheimer care
The Rouse is the only nonprofit adult care provider in the area and has served the community for nearly 150 years. The Rouse integrates a unique concept called the “household model.” This model creates a more personal and home-like setting for residents. No one else locally is doing this type of care/living.
Many of the residents at the Rouse have been referrals from current or former residents, which further enforce their great reputation. There is a feeling of comfort when people visit and live at the Rouse.
The Rouse is also perceived as being expensive. Unlike the competition however, the Rouse is nonprofit, which means that any proceeds go back into the Rouse which enables the Rouse to provide higher-end amenities that their competitors.
