The site will be designed to connect schools, universities, and non-profits with grant funding available via the federal government, state government, or foundations. The logo should be fairly straightforward and simple. It should also incorporate the themes of Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics. If you can work in "funding" into the concept that is great, but not required. Please also sure that the logo is not too juvenile. It needs to appeal to grade school teachers, high school teachers, university faculty, grant writers etc. These are all adults.

STEM is an acronym, so it needs to be in all caps. I would suggest making grants lower case to make it easier to read. However, you can decide what looks best on the word "grants".

The logo should hold up well when reduced to a small size. Also, I will be using a WP Theme for this site. I am currently considering http://wpsn-theme.com . So, I need something that will work in this aspect ratio.

I will also ask the WINNING designer to provide me with the following:
a) a second version that is more square in aspect ratio for other applications (just need a re-cut on aspect ratio)
b) a version that incorporates the word "Conference" after STEM Grants. I am going to be doing a conference, so I just want to make sure the font style looks the same
c) A variety of formats and resolutions. IE 72 DPI, 300 DPI, jpg, gif, PNG, etc. I would also like a high res photoshop version I can re-size or add elements on to when necessary
