OK, folks, this is a tough one. My new consulting firm is called The Beachway Group, located just outside of Washington, DC. The name comes from its location on Beachway Drive, which is right by a lake in the Washington suburbs. The lake has a couple of small beaches around it. I envision the logo capturing the fun side of the company (it’s by a lake, after all) as well as the serious work it does. Is that possible? Its two focuses are on (1) improving public health (for example, through tobacco control programs and obesity prevention programs) and (2) emphasizing prevention and wellness in health care delivery (for example, encouraging policy makers and health insurers to support things like lifestyle counseling and wellness programs). Its primary activities will be helping organizations with such activities as lobbying, policy analysis, grant writing, project management, and strategic planning. Clients are likely to be nonprofit organizations that advocate for policy changes or conduct health information campaigns. The organizations may either focus on health broadly, or they may focus on a specific disease or represent a specific health care profession.
