I founded the Shoy Group almost 3 years ago. Myself and my team provide retained and contingent recruiting services for small to mid-size technology clients primarily in the fields of semiconductor, electronic components and consumer electronics. I put together my logo and web site myself as I was too busy and just needed a place holder. The name 'Shoy Group' was created because I'm originally from the virgin islands and the family house is close the Shoys beach hence the name.
Now that my business has matured its time to upgrade the logo, business cards and re-do the web-site. The first step for me is the logo as I will use that to base everything else around.
I live in San Diego and most of my clients are local, Orange County or Los Angeles (all southern CA)

Hiring Managers (typically VP level and Director level) in small to mid-size technology clients primarily in the fields of semiconductor, electronic components and consumer electronics. My clients usually have anywhere from 30 employees to 300 and are in a growth stage and usually pre-IPO.
You may look at my web-site http://www.shoygroup.com for an idea of the business. I would like the logo to be simple but perhaps a bit more creative than what I have now. I like the blue color scheme on the web site and want to carry that over when i re-vamp my web-site as I believe it blends well with the origin of the name (beach and water). I have thought about the initials TSG (for The Shoy Group) but I have found that another recruiting agency has that moniker so that is not possible for the logo. I want something to use for my business cards that stand out but is simple with a sleek design. I also want a short tag line belwo it that explains the business and logo in a short 4 or 5 word tag line. Something like "connecting clients to top talent" but not as boring and a bit more catchy-perhaps indicative of the ripple effect.
I have attached a business card and logo i came up with myself but not happy with it. I like the concept but it can be worked on or want some whole new ideas. I picked the drop a water because once you place the right person in a position, if they are the right candidate, their impact can have a ripple effect on the rest of the organization. This is not to say that I'm not open to other ideas as I am but just wanted you to see my thought process.
