We are already about to upgrade the entire design of our website aisgrp.com , but the oldest looking bit left will then become the logo. Peer companies in our sector who have relatively recently updated their logo are Credit Suisse and PWC (so think audit firms and investment banks for rough style required).
I want to use part or all of the logo for the tab area on internet browsers. Like Credit Suisse, I would also like to use a white 'negative' of the logo on top of dark slides or web pages when needed.
Our slogan will be 'Your fund. Our fundamentals' and perhaps this can be incorporated underneath the logo. Perhaps in handwriting with a line between the logo and the slogan.
We probably want to keep some sort of globe or part globe for continuity, but perhaps this can be stylized. We started in the US and now work in the UK too and one day Asia as well. My problem with a 'real' globe is that we will never own the image in people's minds or be recognised. The picture part of the logo has to be strong enough to stand alone one day, unique enough to be recognised as us with the letters AIS.
Perhaps the words AIS can be wrapped around the surface of the sphere? I think we need to keep the words 'Fund Administration' because there are too many other AIS companies out there. These are long words together which is a pain, so work with different placements to make it look best.
