The hyphen between Solar and Energy is vital, it cannot be left out, nor can the ".com"
I would also like a slogan involved in the design, below or wherever, that says "The No.1 Source for Solar Energy News". Look at http://www.oilprice.com for an example of a similar slogan.
Re. the logo examples
I only like one boutique because the little bird is recognisable on its own, and also works well with the company name.
The frog is very bold, stylish and funky; but it doesn't have the name of the company.
Sports Focus is very simple, fresh and effective. The colours work well together.
Marathon is very simple and effective. It does what it needs to, it's not cluttered.
