This brief is for a re-brand. You will find our current logo on the website http://www.sold-digital.com.au. This part of the company is in the process of breaking away from the parent (Sold Magazine) and doing something new. So the logo will need to reflect that difference in a very obvious way.
Note that Sold Digital is a bit of an "umbrella brand" and we will need to put other words with it from time to time eg Learning, Newsletters etc so this should be taken into account (see example http://www.sold-training.com.au).
What we would like to convey: we would like to appeal sales professionals - so it needs a feel of action, positivity and results. And don't forget to reflect the energy and speed and creativity of digital!
One more note: the red dot that you see in the existing logo gets used extensively, the winning design will need to have a pretty versatile mark of some sort that can be used in a similar way. The red dot was originally born from the Auctioneers hammer coming down on a "Sold!" Property - so a non-obvious way of demonstrating "Sold!". If you can think of a creative way to represent that - great - but please absolutely no hammers or gavels in the design.
