Hey guys, thanks so much for your marvellous efforts so far. I'm
really impressed by the thought, care and professionalism in evidence
in all the submissions so far.
My overriding feeling so far is that the look and feel is very North
American, which is not a good fit for the UK audience. This is mainly
evidenced by the house styles used in the logo roughs- this may seem
esoteric, but we have a different architectural vernacular here
(semi-detached houses, terraces, blocks of flats, houses with
architectural features from the past 200 years in every day use).
I think the disconnect with the UK housing stock, particularly our own
housing stock (we are currently in the West of the UK) and the
'McMansion' style the logos lean towards is a problem. Perhaps you
could revisit some UK imagery and tweak.
Secondly, and harder perhaps to put into words, we are looking for a
less 'slick' corporate feel- we are providers of homes, not home
insurance, if that makes sense. I'd like the logo to smell of fresh
bread, rather than a new elevator. Our key differentiator as a service
provider is that we provide a home for life, at whatever stage of life
you may be at, rather than merely acting as a broker between landlord
Hope this helps, and I very much look forward to seeing your revisions
and selecting a partner to work with.
