I like the logos for LinkedIn and facebook. They are simple but, look nice and transmit their message to the user and visitors.
Name not restricted to "startupmover", could also be "Startupmover" or "StartupMover".
Here goes a hint for startupmover nickname "SUM": my startupmover brand as "SUM" where "S" stands for "Start", "U" stands for "Up" and "M" stands for "Mover". But we can also try a "SM" type of nickname.
I also like the idea of having the logoicon inside the logoname, kind like the "in" from "linkedin".
Shadows and/or 3D feel also might be something that could help sophisticate the logo.
Also applying gradient of colors with slight 3D bobble might light my wish.
Have the silicon valley and San Jose a reference to the tech world I'm aiming.
The logo should be able to stick to a white background as well (in reference to my sample file sum6.png. Other background options: blue or black.
Regarding collors, I was told that less collors help memorize better, specially the icon logo (use as reference the linkedIn, facebook, twitter, Easy Note (and others) iPhone icon.
