Because the background behind the company name is of an abstract nature, we are thinking of a logo that is also more abstract than literal. So there’s a lot of freedom there for creativity. EDIT: The graphic or shape should be explainable. Think about what you are trying to convey, think about why would you say if someone asked 'hey, what is your logo about?'. Completely abstract shapes are not easy to explain.
The logo should have the phrase ‘StoneFree’ but hopefully not just words. The logo needs also a place to add the word ‘software’ or ‘community’ as a secondary word.
The logo should communicate the ‘freedom’ and ‘no worries’ feeling but without giving the idea of carelessness or laziness. We prefer simple, clear fonts, and light colors, but we are not designers and are open to suggestions. =)
The logo should look good on dark and light backgrounds, although the current website design has a dark grayscale gradient as background and that will be the immediate use for the logo.
We are thinking of a vector-based logo, and need the original Adobe Illustrator sources.
We love the ‘Web 2.0’ style of cleannes and simplicity, sites like http://37signals.com and http://panic.com.
We are planning to use this web template for the site:
NOTE: the template is the one on the small screenshots. Don’t confuse it with the TemplateMonster.com page design. The logo should look good with that template.
Please make sure the suggested colors match the web design template from http://stonefreesoftware.com.
We prefer an horizontal logo rather than a square or vertical one.
Bolder and rounder, san-serif fonts are preferred.
