Please find attached a mockup that reflects what I am trying to achieve. If you have any question while you are working on this design, please feel free to let me know at email@example.com. I will be glad to give further indications and/or feedback to your ideas before you submit them to the website for my review.
The simplest element is a very light gray circle without borders. It has two black bay leaves, one at each side of the bottom. All these elements are flat and simple. This circle and its content (cube and leaves) should be a perfectly squared whole, in order to easily resize the logo to fit in the Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube profile pages, and be able to easily create a favicon. These resizes must be extremely easy to do, without losing too much quality.
The main and most complex object is the cube located at the center, which represents the “sublime pixel” itself. It has to look like a three-dimensional cube made of crystal. This crystal should feel 95% transparent and 5% translucent. The inside edges of the cube must be perfectly visible to give a clear sense of its three-dimensionality. There are 3 colored airy lights “floating” INSIDE the cube: blue at the top, red at the left, and green at the right. These 3 colors should look much brighter than my mockup. The 3 colors should mesh among them creating many secondary colors, like a rainbow (like the attached "RGB Colors" file, but with richer variety of secondary colors). At the geometric center of the cube, where the 3 main colors meet INSIDE, there is a glowing white light that radiates a subtle but clear lens flare. Everything should look very detailed, with great definition of the colors merging together and creating other new colors. The cube should look pristine and extremely clean.
The title should use a very clear, elegant typeface. The words “Sublime” and “Pixel” should probably be presented together, with the word “Sublime” in bold. I am open to new ideas and interpretations regarding the presentation of the title (typeface, color…), as long as they are elegant and readable.
That said, if ANY of my ideas expressed above proves to be terrible in your opinion in the final composition (for example, the mesh of colors has a nightmarish look or it is a bad idea to use use a black color for the bay leaves and/or the title), please feel free to change them if you think you can creatively achieve a different and better overall result.
I would like to have this logo in PDF format, where I can easily move and hide its different layers. The ability to hide the layer of the title is very important.
Many thanks for your good work!
