SYCAMORZ is a play on sycamores or sycamore trees. Sycamore trees are unique in that they are white at the top and dark at the bottom. To me that represents positive growth and leaving darkness behind. Even the lowest branches on sycamore trees reach upward as if they are trying to reach for the sky. These trees stand out in a crowd.
I'd like the logo design to incorporate at least the suggestion of a minimum of two sycamore trees since SYCAMORZ sounds plural. If possible I'd also like to have the design represent darkness at the bottom and white or brightness at the top while making sure that the logo could be printable in a single-color application.
I'm open to less literal, simple translations as well, because I know what I've described above in the literal sense could be a very busy image.
In the attached photos you can see what actual sycamore trees look like and a close-up of the bark. Note: roots are not an important aspect, but I see them frequently in tree logos. No roots needed in this logo.
You can probably tell from the sample logos I picked that I like symmetrical or mostly symmetrical, classic designs.
I'm looking forward to seeing what creative solutions you can come up with, and I appreciate your time and efforts!
