Gumroad (https://gumroad.com/) is one of the simplest ways to start selling online even without a website. From registration to taking the first payment, it can literally take less than five minutes. However, that simplicity (and lack of features) becomes a problem once you start selling more items, more volume or basically start doing anything "advanced". This is where GumRocket comes in.
GumRocket is a SaaS that provides analytics, deep insights, forecasting and advanced tools for Gumroad users. It's made exclusively as an addon for Gumroad users who want to sell more, smarter and faster. It takes sales data and provides much more insight into your whole business and sales than Gumroad does. We are in no way associated with Gumroad so trademarks must be honored.
Previous attempts https://www.dropbox.com/s/jzi455qwl…1.jpg?dl=0 to create this logo failed. The idea was to make a logo that was unique, didn't break trademarks but still tried to somehow associate and connect with Gumroad so that users understand what GumRocket is. It ended up looking like a poor copy and just bad. Generally, creating something that can be associated with Gumroad just by looking at it is still something I'd like to achieve, but not at the price of making the logo look like crap or by creating a copy of Gumroad logo.
If at all possible I'd like to avoid gradients and keep everything flat.
Colors? Don't have something we "have to use". I'd rather go with a color that describes GumRocket as trustworthy, easy to use, analytical, something you can trust your money with than go with a color "I like". Gumroad has a signature green color (https://smartmadden.com/wp-content/…-JPG-1.jpg), so we should probably stay away from it. If you run out of ideas, try some orange details on the logo.
Should the logo have an icon? Not necessarily. Something like this https://wpreset.com/app/wp-content/…t-logo.png , with one/some letters stylized, is nice too.
Few other examples I like:
I'm more than available to answer any questions you have even before you start designing so that we know things are going in the right direction.
Thank you for your time!
