We are developing a new website to replace the existing site at http://www.healthfacilityguidelines.com.au/ for the "Australasian Health Facility Guidelines", also abbreviated "AusHFG".
It is very likely that we will select two designs from this contest. The initial award will probably go to a simple design using mostly (stylised text). This design will be used in the pilot site.
Once the pilot site has been used by all the agencies participating in the AusHFG, it is likely that we will get them to vote on a shortlist of the logo designs from this competition and a different logo will probably be selected. A second logo design will in this case be purchased.
The logo will be used in a new Microsoft SharePoint(tm) based website using a skin as per the attached screenshot.
The logo will be used in the top left corner, where the "invent" logo is currently located on the attached screenshot. The logo area of the web page is only 100 pixels high, so linear/horizontal designs will work better. A logo on a white/transparent background would be preferable as it allows us the maximum flexibility in choosing a background for the logo area, which currently has a white background with a grey gradient along the bottom border. A sample web page layout is attached to the brief.
The logo is for the "Australasian Health Facility Guidelines", also abbreviated "AusHFG". Please focus on the "Health Facility" and "Guidelines" aspects of the organisation and de-emphasise "Australasian".
Please note that "Australasian" covers both Australia and New Zealand. Logo designs with a kangaroo/wallabie motiff or an Australian continent/landmass motiff will not work and will be eliminated.
Demographic is: public servants in state health departments; health care professionals; architects, planners; and engineers (i.e. adult professionals in the 25 to 65 age bracket). The logo should therefore be conservative and simple and consistent with public sector values and styling (calming and confidence-inspiring colours and designs). Logo's without any graphics/icons (i.e. stylised text only) will be considered - i.e. don't feel compelled to design a logo with an icon.
