Our Vision All military Veterans are gainfully employed following their tour of duty. Our Mission To provide Veterans with scholarship funding for enrollment in approved vocational training programs leading to sustainable wage jobs and career advancement opportunities. The Problem and a Solution We are grateful when Veterans return to American soil and are reunited with their loved ones. We demonstrate our pride at local parades with handshakes, hugs and congratulatory pats on the back. But our lives quickly return to “normal.” We do not stop to consider what it will require for Veterans to get back to “normal.” Veterans must reinvent themselves. The transition from military life is often emotional, confusing, and difficult. Emotions must be put aside as practical matters dictate their new method of survival. Veteran’s view their return as a way to start fresh with a career that offers advancement opportunities and a way to earn a better living. They hope the skills learned while in the Armed Forces serve them well as they enter the civilian workforce. Many joined the military before earning a college or technical degree. Others find technology has advanced while on active duty and discover gaps in their knowledge upon their return home, leaving them anxious about the job opportunities available to them. At Vet2Tech we have the power to improve the quality of a Veteran's life that is more significant than parades and handshakes. We can connect them to an outstanding career opportunity and provide them a scholarship to receive the technical training they need to be hired by more than 1,000 interested companies nationwide. Vet2Tech provides a concrete solution to a national problem - the high unemployment rate of young Veterans. It’s a heartfelt way of thanking our heroes for their sacrifices on our behalf. Veterans have lived a portion of their lives facing challenges we cannot imagine. Eminent danger, extreme elements, food and housing deprivation, and emotional traumas we can’t fathom were an everyday part of their life in service. Vet2Tech offers them the opportunity for a smoother transition back into civilian life – an opportunity to gain technical skills from a training program that guarantees them a job interview − and an opportunity for the stability and respect they deserve.
