NOTE! I see a lot of copycats trying to figure out what I like about my 4 star design and you're all missing the mark. It is not a coin. It looked like a whisky barrel head and it had a simple design where the icon and logo could be separated from the body that is what I liked about it. It could be used on hats and polos in stitching easily because it wasn't extravagant and busy. I love the creative energy, but the designs are becoming too complex!
This is a brand logo that focuses on whiskey (also spelled whisky) from Scotland, Ireland, Kentucky and around the world. Initially I will use it for a podcast and YouTube channel (the word Podcast should be able to be swapped out for Channel or Trademark depending on use) but it will also be used on t-shirts, hats, polos, so don't make it too busy.
Our target audience loves history and wants a deeper appreciation for the craft of making it, the experience of tasting it, and the legends that surround it.
The audience will lean towards males and older females. Should be sophisticated without being stuffy. The logo shouldn't focus too much on American or Scottish heritages, but something that can work with both.
No shot glasses or anything that would imagery that would denote alcohol abuse. And don't lock it into podcasts or YouTube as it will be used for other purposes.
I'm getting a lot of 19th Century fonts. That isn't overly necessary. It should have a feel of history, but shouldn't look too much like something from a cowboy movie. Cowboys with shot glasses aren't our target audience, people who want to sit around and discuss the flavors and quality of whiskey are.
