I am getting married in June and we thought it would be fun to design something we can incorporate into our wedding website, invitations, thank you notes, etc. My last name is Weisman. My fiancee's last name is Jacobs. We have a weird thing for the sadly-extinct Woolly Mammoth. Hoping it's possible to great a little logo (focused on a Woolly Mammoth head, from straight on) that uses the tusks to make a "W", for Weisman. And perhaps there is a playful way using color to also use the right Tusk to look like a J -- capturing us both, and the marriage. This would be ideal, if possible. Either way, definitely the W for Weisman. Simple/clean lines and not TOO much color or contrast (perhaps it should look a bit hand-drawn or watercolored?) .
Additional design inspiration: think elegant crest that might be on the iron gate of a large home/castle (inspiration attached)
One more note: a couple of early designs are abstract tusks without an attempt at capturing likeness of a woolly mammoth head itself. Tusks can be the creative focus, and perhaps one element can be a bit abstract, but hoping it's clear what they are attached to : ). The foundation should be classic. More like a family crest than a sexy start-up logo.

Not too many distinct colors. Should largely be able to stand on its own using just the black/white/grey scale. Potentially some blue or brown incorporated if helpful, but can discuss as secondary tweaks. My fiancee does have large blue eyes...

Like that this has a hand-drawn feel. A bit playful and soft, yet simple and elegant.
Love the use of geometric shapes and color. Not sure how it would look, but open to a creative way of building the main woolly logo with a handful of playful geometric shapes. Just don't want it to be TOO busy given the desire to convey the "W" and possibly "J" as well.
Soft colors, minimalist lines
Creative! Not out of the box with some minor tweaks.
