We're not a creative or marketing agency, but rather consultants who advise on developing marketing sophistication, architecture and operations around the people, products and processes that drive marketing. We're concerned with building out the assumptions, data and systems that inform the marketing of an organization, not creating banner ads, content and social media strategy. Our deliverables are things like audience matrix, customer journey, go to market strategy, etc.
Another view: If marketing were a tree, we would be focused on seed germination and tending the roots to ensure the branches grow. The roots consists of laying the right foundation and building the right support structure for the branches. The branches would be considered marketing channels i.e. social media, PR, advertising, content, etc. The branches can only reach their true potential if the root structure is in tact and healthy. We don't deal in channels and tactical work like a marketing agency would, so no beer pong or pool tables, rather we're in boardrooms with our clients.
