To highlight ‘persons of a certain age’s’ use of motors for recreation, thrill and adventure. Or another way to put it, men and women not acting their age.
For years, the go-to recreation (especially as one gets older) has been golf. While much better than sitting in front of a TV, there is really nothing about it that get’s someone excited or makes their heart race.
In the past, a middle age guy would get a car or a motorcycle. These actions have been unfortunately branded as mid-life crisis, but they are really an attempt to inject some life into a life that has grown stale. This site will encourage these people (both sexes, women really have this problem too) to take it to the next level, to do things that can get your heart racing.
While someone riding around on a pontoon boat can qualify because it does have a motor, I want to highlight the adrenaline aspects of motors. So track days, racing, etc. with initial emphasis on motorcycles and cars. Cruising around on a Harley is fun, but I’d like to focus on 40 or 50 year olds on sportbikes on a local racetrack, a 60 year old racing vintage racecars, that sort of thing.
