charan.sodhi necesitaba un nuevo diseño de app y lanzó un concurso de diseño en 99designs.
Un ganador ha sido elegido entre 112 diseños de 33 diseñadores freelance.
The LiveTransit app is tool to get the latest information about your next transit mode(bus/train) arrival/departure. The app uses your current location to get the nearby stops and the available routes on those stops. The app enables the users to add reminders, favorites, search stops based on stop number or address, view transit schedules and also be able to view the live moving transit based on the schedules.
The app should have a minimalistic light colored design.
Example; https://play.google.com/store/apps/…mera&hl=en
The top strip of the app should be themeable, as in, the color should be changeable without disturbing the rest of the UI. Transit agencies will have different colors. You can use a red color strip for the design mock-ups.
LiveTransit
*******Home Screen: Home screen has 2 sections and may include more in the future.
Favorites Section: This section allows the users to view their favorite routes on the stops. A route is usually a bus or a train or any means of transit such as ferry/tram/train/bus etc. The users will be able to see the routes that they have selected as favorites. When the user clicks on the route, it takes the user to the Detailed view screen.
Reminders Section: This section allows the users to view reminders on the routes that they have added. The users can also add reminders from here by clicking on the add reminder button. They can see the time as in how many minutes should the reminder alarm go off before their bus/train arrives. Below the time it shows the recurrence as in Monday to Sunday with highlighted days for which the user has added a reminder.
*******Nearby Screen: Near by screen has two sections, the top part is a map and the lower part of the screen is a list of near by stops.
Map Section: Map shows all the nearest stops with stop icons on the map. Icon for the user’s current location on the map will appear in a different color. The user has the ability to pan across the map. The stops are clickable, when the user clicks/taps on a stop on the map, the right bottom of the map gives user an option to open google maps for directions. There is another icon right beside the directions icon, that is the standard my location icon. When the user clicks/taps the my location icon, the map brings the user back to the view where the users current location appears on the map (just like google maps).
Stops Section: This section shows a list of Routes (bus/train number) sorted in the order of distance from shortest to furthest within a 25 kilometers radius from the user’s current location. The routes are categorized under stops. Each stop has routes that fall under it. Each route is clickable. When the user clicks on the route, it opens the detailed route information screen. Each route has an icon that looks like a bus/train/ferry/tram etc. Each route has a corresponding arrival time that is displayed in front of it.The arrival time is a live countdown timer that keeps reducing towards the time of arrival. Each stop-route group has a “Add to favorites” button. The button has text and a red heart icon which will highlight when added to favorites and the text will change to favorite. When the user clicks on this button a popup appears that offers the user to select the routes that he wants to mark as favorite for the selected stop. On this popup, each route will have a check box against it.
*******Detailed Route Screen: This screen has two sections as well. A map section and a list
of schedules section.
Map Section: This section has a map which displays the active path for the bus/train selected. This path on the map will show the moving bus icon based on this current schedule.
Schedule List Section: Above the list of schedules, left side will have a round icon with an animated/non animated icon. This icon will have 3 scenarios:
A green walking man when the time left in the arrival of the current bus/train is greater than 10 minutes.
A yellow slow running man icon when the time left in the arrival is less than 10 minutes and greater than 5 minutes.
A red fast running (panic mode) man icon when the time left in the arrival is less than 5 minutes.
Beside this icon, a large countdown timer is shown for the current schedule of the route.
This section displays a list of current schedule and the schedules to follow for the next 24 hours. On the left, count down timers to arrivals of the schedules is displayed and on the right the date and time of arrival is displayed. Above the schedule list, a date picker is available for the user to choose a date and view schedule for that date.

1) Please add an "add favorite button" in the favorites section, just like add reminder button in the reminders section.
2) Remove the down arrow/drop down option beside the stop number in the reminder section. (Ignore drop down/down arrow in the mockup)
3) We want the reminders section a little different than the favorites so that users can easily differentiate.
4) Keep the UI as clean as possible. Dont want the UI to be cluttered.
5) Ads Space is moved to a third tab with the title "Discover". No more Ads section/space on the bottom of the screens. Please update your designs.
6) We want the logo to stand out on the play store.
7) User should be able to differentiate between current tab and other tabs.
8) The running man should only display information in green, yellow and red based on the time left in current route only. Other schedules should be standard color.

1) We are noticing that designers are focusing too much on color. A bicolor UI with a classy, simple and modern looking with a minimalist approach is the criteria for this contest.
2) The logo should be eye catching and high quality.
