We are looking for app designs for scanning business cards into your Address book. We are looking for an efficient fun way of saying 'yay' or 'nay' to each of the individual cards. i.e. The user has to sort through a deck of business cards. If a card is added into your address book, it would be great if you can show the end user what the address book entry actually looks like, just in case some of the fields in the business card were incorrectly interpreted. (e.g. If the phone number appears in the email field).
The basic workflow is something like this, but you can certainly use your imagination if you want to solve the problem a different way:
A person presses the "Begin" button to scan a stack of business cards. (i.e. To make the stack of business cards appear on screen).
It would be good if you can indicate how long the scanning process took, how many cards there are in the stack so far and how many of those cards already exist in your address book.
Once your the stack of business cards is scanned, they appear on screen as a physical pile of cards.
The user then swipes each business card into "Keep" or "Discard".
It's really simple. Like sorting red jellybeans from the blue jellybeans. Perhaps a conveyor belt or Lemmings style app would work well?
There needs to be a way to "Keep All" or "Discard All".
There needs to be a way to stop the scanner if it's been running for longer than a certain amount of time.
