Fabulessly Frugal Re-Design Onboarding Sequence (Existing App)

We have an existing app, you can find all the information here: https://fabulesslyfrugal.com/app/. We are looking to overhaul the onboarding process. We have found that the single most important action a new user can do within our app is to set an alert within the app. This could be within a Brand, Category, or specific product. We would like to re-focus all of the attention on the onboarding process to get users to take these actions as quickly as possible. So the goal of completing the onboarding sequence would be to have new users complete the following: 1. Set at least 2-3 alerts (more if possible) 2. Allow notifications on their phone 3. Set up their account, so they can receive these alerts when we find a deal that matches their alert. We're looking to deliver the best user experience, for all our new users, so they get engaged early on and return often. Something additional to consider...within our current app user are having to search or manually scroll to find these alerts. We have plans to improve the user experience overall so users can more easily search/find the alerts they would like to set. We're going to be implementing Algolia search into our site to improve the experience and we'd like to have a similar implementation within the app.

Our colors and a basic idea of the app should stay the same. But if you can come up with a better layout for setting the alerts pages itself, I'd love to see them.

This is sort of what we're looking for. I would like to see what you would recommend as an onboarding process/sequence. How many pages do you believe it will take? I'm looking for your expertise here and will not be mapping these out for you. Ultimately we're looking to get users through onboarding, and to having them sign up to receive alerts. I mentioned all the goals above.
