A fresh/modern/progressive styled video-calling app

Holler@ provides the ability to monetize time with personal 1-1 video calls. After searching for a user, you can send over a friend request if you’d like to speak with them. Once a friend request is accepted, either individual can initiate a call by paying the $ rate of the receiver. Each user sets their own $ rate / minute, and chooses their availability. For that price, anyone within the users friend-list can contact them for a video call, whenever the user is available. The app also allows users to establish credibility by verifying their social network profiles (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).

The goal is to facilitate smooth peer-to-peer communication by making personal discovery & connectivity easy. You can consider it a condensed version of WhatsApp/Skype for the outside world, with easy payments/cash-out as an added feature. There are elements of a social network (discovery) within the app. However, our concept is geared more towards utility (live video calling, paying/earning for services). As a result, the color/icon/layout should be slightly more purpose/utility driven with a clean interface. The look should be professional, especially as we are dealing with payments. It needs to appeal to the younger audience (18-35) and must have a contemporary feel to it. Both male & female would equally constitute our user base.

The 5 screens to be designed are: Profile Tab - This is the user’s own profile. It displays a Profile Picture, Username, Option to edit profile, User’s rating, Email address, $ Earned, $ Spent, Price/min, About me, Links to social networks (not yet added, should go somewhere below the username), Settings (top right), Status (top left) Discover Tab - Option to toggle between all & friends, Search, Notifications (top right), Status (top left). Condensed user profiles are displayed on cards that are scrollable left-right. Each card display’s the Profile image, Rating, Username, Rate/min, and a brief About Me/Profile Description that fits within the space. Call History Tab - Image, Username, Direction of call, Missed call (shown by color red), Time of call, User's Status (top right), Messages - from people who missed your call (not added yet, will go top right) Call Details <reachable by clicking on the individual calls from Call History> - Image, Username, Button to view User’s Details, Button to place a call, Direction of call, Length of call, Call duration, Rate, Money earned/spent, Back button (top left). User Details <reachable by clicking on the cards from Discovery, or from the Call Details> - Includes Profile Image, Rating, Username, Rate/min, minutes spoken (Need to add), Links to social networks (need to add), and a complete About Me/Profile Description (scrollable to the bottom). Each screen has an image by the same name uploaded. After these 5 main screens, we'd like to work with the same designer for the rest of the app.

Some of the common used cases for an app with similar functionality are in the online sex industry (cam-girls). We DO NOT want to be associated with that industry. There shouldn’t be any cheap look & feel to the app, to avoid being categorized with the same.
