I have listed more that 5 screens so if you wish to only stick to the 5 screens please design screens 1 - 5 below.
A note on the attached photos.
Photo with New concept written at the top is my attempt at a redesign. The only thing that I wish to keep is how the main menu works which is push the profile button reveals the Profile menu and Press the settings button reveals the settings menu. Everything else can be completely redesigned by the artist.
Navigation of the app is done by simply pushing buttons, no fancy swiping and combination's of buttons and swipe. The app needs to be simple to use.The only exception to this are screen's that expand beyond the device's physical screen. Examples of this can be found in the attached photo of the current app design.
# 1 Main Menu Screen
This screen contains the menu buttons, settings menu, profile menu, profile picture, a mini report (Optional - See new app concept for example of mini report), and a means of indicating the user is online. Current menu buttons are Learn to Run, Interval Run, Free Run, Target Run, Manual Run Entry, Music Player. The app maybe expanded to contain more menu buttons so this needs to be considered in the design.
# 2 Running Screen
This screen will contain information for the user during a run. This information includes Distance, Speed, Pace, Calories burnt, a progress indicator, Timer, Status (Warm up, Run, Walk etc), Heart Rate and GPS signal. The screen needs to have buttons to allow the user to Start the Run, Stop the Run, Pause the run, Reset the run. There needs to be a simple and quick way to access the current music playlist so the user can change songs. It would be nice to display a map of the current run but this is not essential.
#3 Music Player Screen
The app will have a built in music player which will display the current song playing. This screen will need the usual media controls such as play, pause, skip etc. This screen also needs to display a means of accessing a playlist, Albums, Artists and Songs.
#4 Learn To Run Screen
This screen allows the user to browse the Learn To Run programme, select the next session and show their current progress. The programme is split up into 9 weeks and for each week there are 3 days. Each day will have a session detail which is revealed when the user clicks on the day. When the user has completed a session there needs to be an indication to this i.e COMPLETED or change colour.
5# Account Creation/Edit Screen.
There needs to be a screen where the user will create/edit their account details. Account details will consist of Profile picture, User name, Real Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Email and Password.
6# Achievements Screen
A screen to show achievement badges. Each badge will have a description and count of how many times they achieved the badge. (see attach photos for example of a badge)
# 7 Settings Screen
There are various settings screens so design just one screen that could be used as a template/theme for the others.
#8 Stats/Graph Screen
There needs to be a screen which shows a users running stats and various graphs based on the last 7 runs.
Design brief edit 1:
I had a change of thought, the mini report does not have to be designed into the main menu, its just an app feature idea but is nothing concrete yet.
Design brief edit 2:
I am just writing to make it clear that the app will feature an adverts bar along the top of the screen. This bar will be 80 pixels in height and the full width of the screen.
Design brief Edit 3:
I had a few artists ask if I had any more screens that needs a design so for those of you who are interested that are 3 more.
#1 - Weight management Screen
The user will be able to set their target goal and their current weight. Every time a user enters a new weight the entry will be stored and displayed as weight history which include weight and the date they entered it. There will also be a graph showing the users progress to achieving their weight goal.
2# - Interval training screen
If you look at the attached photo call old concept and on there look for Screen 5 called Interval Training. This is a screen which the user can swipe between 3 screens. The screen that needs a little redesign is the first screen titled Details.
2# - Run Log screen
If you look at the attached photo call old concept and on there look for Screen 11 called Run Log. The screen could be refreshed a little. This screen is basically a log of all the runs the user has run. Some information also needs to be removed. First item is Distance which is displayed in meters, kilometres and miles. Only one needs to be displayed e.g kilometres. The same goes for average speed. This screen can also include the pace state
