Southern Snow: Single screen mobile app to answer the question- "Will it snow?"

A mobile app to alert people living in the southern United States when there is any possible chance of snow.

Open to ideas, want something that looks fun and fresh.

Southern Snow

The top of the app will contain a text field to enter the name of the current city or zip code, along with a GPS button to lookup the user’s current location. The user will be presented with a way to see the snow forecast for today (will it show and when), this week (will it show and what day), this month, and this winter. The app will then display the chance it will snow (as a narrative sentence)- with one of the following options- It is snowing right now It snowed yesterday It will likely snow on {day} It may snow soon for my city It will snow soon within 200 miles of my city No chance of snow With phrases such as: No snow in the forecast but expect freezing temperatures. Don't put away the shorts, temperatures will stillbe in the 70s. As expected, there is no change for snow in Atlanta this week. Snow is a possibility this week, with the highest change of snow on Thursday. After the phrases about the snow forecast, the app will show the current conditions with a temperature, weather icon, and another narrative phrase about the current conditions.
