Insert an animation on the Manager Dashboard screen to convey status of ongoing processes in the space provided (see attached). There are 2 status options - "Normal Operations" and "Process(es) Not Completed by Due Date"
Animation - "Normal Operations" : Animated, looping GIF of human figure walking in place. Simple, clean, professional look. Purposeful walking style. Not too aggressive. Not too casual. the primary body color should be a similar green - but open to creativity if it works.
Image - "Process(es) Not Completed by Due Date" : Non-animated image of human figure slipping. (See attached) Developers to display the COUNT of the number of processes that were Not Completed by the specified Due Date. The primary body color should be red - but open to creativity here as well. Keep in mind Managers most likely will not be viewing this Dashboard when a process expires. However, if you have an idea for a transition or even an animated "Slip" that works
Additional comments: Emulating the well known image of a man slipping will help convey instant recognition to users, but creativity here is also welcome. Please keep the slipping image somewhat close to this familiar design used on warning signs.
One other point of clarification involves the challenge of the “walking” animation vs. the 'slipped' fixed image.
The animated graphic needs to the convey confidence that “all is well” to the user. It can't be frenetic, herky jerky. It needs to convey smooth, low stress, under control feelings.
The 'slipped' image relays that action is required by the Manager and that “all is NOT well”. I'm not sure if it is too nuanced, but a “slip” is NOT the end of the world. Stuff happens, address it, move on. The “slipped” image should not “hit the manager in the face” any more than necessary.
