We have a flowchart feature in our software that manages business processes.
We need to design the business-friendly-looking components for this flowchart based on a technical specification.
REQUIREMENTS OF FLOWCHART COMPONENTS:
Each component has:
Title area:“Action Title”
Text area that allows the user to give the component a short description.
The width and height of these component are not fixed, they will scale to the content/ text.
There is a varying number of “input” connectors on the left side, and “output” connectors on the right side.
ATTACHED EXAMPLE (flowchart.png & Example flow.png)
flowchart.png is one main input connector at the top, with two fields “Size” and “Text” that can either be filled out directly in the component OR automatically filled out by values from each their connectors.
Each of the fields on the connectors should have icons that explain clearly what type of input they expect.
In this example, there are three types: images, numbers and text.
The output connectors (on the right) represent what happens after the flowchart component has “done its work”. In this example, there is only a standard “output” and an “error state” output.
A “more…” button or similar graphical element is placed at the bottom, which should expand the component to show more advanced options (possibly more connectors and fields).
PLEASE LOOK TO Example flow.png for an idea as to how these components will work together.
PLEASE SEE SHUTTERSTOCK ATTACHMENT. We like the style of the design tabs used, and we expect the flowchart to "play nicely" with a surrounding design like this.
We expect to have a long-running relationship with the designer we pick after this contest, to develop the entire software design. However since the flowchart is the central component, we want to start here.
