We are looking for a cover design for an upcoming DVD product. It is a 1 hour light-documentary style film about contraception and the Catholic Churches’ position on the prohibition of its use. The target audience for this product is Catholic Answers' core customer, which is made up of people who love and practice their Catholic Faith and have a desire to learn more about their Faith so that they are better equipped to share it with friends, family members, co-workers and society. The cover should catch the eye of young-adult to mature-adult age. It is for individuals, parents, couples, teachers, activists, and the more.
Our brand maintains a respected status recognized by our audience. Even those who oppose our views appreciate our respectful approach to dialogue and our defense of the Catholic faith.
Our film is titled "The Case Against Contraception.” It is a documentary style film with narration, still photos with "Ken Burns" effects, and interviews with Catholic theologians.
The film explores what the Catholic Church really teaches about contraception. It dispels societal myths levied against Catholics with regards to sexual morality, and procreation, and addresses the key arguments put to the Church on her teachings.
The film offers a comprehensive and easy to follow explanation of the ideals and issues involved with the logic of the Church’s teachings.
It promotes the idea of a true and authentic mutual love between spouses where sexual intimacy is a reciprocal self-giving of husband and wife to one another, which is made difficult when contraception is introduced, communicating—in a way—that there are reservations to the spouses love and total self-giving.
The film also explores the ill effects that contraception and the mentality that it brings has had on individuals and society; The prolific rise in pornography, divorce, absent fathers, and a general widening of the gap of lack of human respect amongst the sexes.

Concept Idea #1 I have attached a number of adobe stock images that I like. Feel free to crop, zoom, manipulate photos to come up with a unique creative perspective of the product and subject matter. Open to other images to be used. We have an account with Adobe Stock, if you find an image you like there, but are open to purchasing from another stock site.
Concept Idea #2 Using the circular “Pill” packaging image, place in center and wrap text of title around the circle, using different sizes and weights for the text, but making “contraception” pop/standout (maybe boldest text or different color)
Concept Idea #3 Use the “blueish” “Pill” packaging images as complete coverage background of the front cover and use text treatment over the top to make the title “pop”
