I need a product mockup designed for my online courseware. The course is -entirely- online without any physical product associated with it (no cd's, dvd's, etc.). As such, the product mockup shouldn't show any CD's or DVDs on it (this might lead to confusion). Essentially, I just need an image to place on the main landing page that represents the course so that viewers of the site have something to conceptualize my course with.
I have attached a photo (in JPG form) that shows where the mockup will go on my homepage (it is on the file "Where the product mockup will go.jpg"). All in all, the image should be large enough to see and understand, but small enough to fit in the space indicated on the website, and for people to still be able to read the main headline below it "It's time to renew your CFI. So why should you renew with us?" even on relatively low screen resolution (i.e. laptop computers). If this doesn't make sense let me know and I'll explain it better.
For your clarification, I have listed a few examples of other sites that have similar courseware to mine (FAA approved flight instructor refresher courses):
http://www.asa2fly.com/Flight-Instr…P1777.aspx (this one has a product mockup that shows their course on a laptop and iPad)
http://www.kingschools.com/courses/…course.asp (this one shows their course on the iPad and has a few other illustrations included)
Those sites will give you a -basic- idea of what the general theme of the product mockup needs to look like. However, it goes without saying that I want my product mockup to look better (more appealing, interesting, etc.) than the competition.
For example, my company's courseware introduces aviation accident case studies (where we study aviation accidents and discern what caused them) as well as human factors research. These are interesting topics in themselves and it should be somehow conveyed in the product mockup that the course is interesting (i.e. maybe a picture of small airplane crash or something).
Furthermore, there are two primary points I want to have made in the product mockup:
1. The course is a lifetime renewal program. This means that people who buy the course can come back every two years and continue to renew their certificates without ever paying again. This is a big deal because flight instructors have to take these types of courses every two years in order to keep their certificates active. Other courses charge the same amount of money as ours, but they make flight instructors pay again and again every two years. We don't.
2. We offer a paperless renewal process where flight instructors can receive their new certificates via email within a few days of completing the course. The flight instructors don't have to do any paperwork whatsoever. It's all handled online.
Both of these points are made in the main product copy on the main page (http://www.acecfi.com) so you can read that and understand the main selling points of my course.
