We sell menswear-Inspired clothing for women, non-binary and trans folks. Our customer has struggled to find clothing that meets their design and fit preferences, often seeing designs from menswear that they want, but they are often frustrated because it does not fit their bodies. Womenswear is too frilly and feminine and makes them feel uncomfortable. As a company, we challenge fashion industry norms for what is considered menswear and womenswear and instead focus on creating great fitting clothing that makes our customers feel comfortable and confident in who they are. The end goal for our customer is for them to feel authentic in what they are wearing and when they try our clothing on, they often finally feel they've found clothing that matches their inside personality with their outside style. ¿Cuál es tu visión?
Our goal is to create pronoun graphics (she/her, he/him, they/them or ask me my pronouns) to be displayed on a variety of merchandise such as t-shirts, hats, enamel pins that allow our community to show solidarity, authenticity, and style. Pronouns are a big way people in our community can express themselves and feel comfortable in their own skin. The tees and hats could be worn at pride or everyday around town to communicate their identity. The enamel pins could be worn on a blazer say at a wedding or a formal event to community who they are to attendees. The most common form of pronouns are He/Him, She/Her, They/Them, or Ask Me About My Pronouns, so there would be one design that can be used for each of the four pronoun options. The design submission can be for any of the 4 pronoun options, with the winning designer being contracted after the contest finishes to create the additional variations. We are looking for someone to create a design for each pronoun that fits our brand identity. Our brand guidelines and a lookbook can be found attached below and used for inspiration in the design process. The end goal for the project is to use this graphic on a variety of clothing or accessory items that would be sold with the profits going to LGBTQ+ charities.
Our brand is refined and high-quality, so avoid cheesy graphics. Do not use more than 8 colors. No shading or gradients. The graphic will need to be able to scaled up and down based on where it will be printed, so keep that in mind with font size and line work.
