ap62 necesitaba un nuevo diseño de otro y lanzó un concurso de diseño en 99designs.
Un ganador ha sido elegido entre 11 diseños de 5 diseñadores freelance.
The 'deliverable' in this contest is a graphic file (I'd like a hi res tiff and a hi res EPS) with a rendering of a counter display. There is no need to provide exact measurements.
Desired Color Scheme:
Red and black
Desired Style:
elegant, sophisticated, but not too stuffy. Definitely want a clean design, not busy
Accepted File Formats:
I'd like both a hi res tiff file and a hi res EPS file.
Background
Ink Media is the exclusive greeting card licensee of The New Yorker Magazine. This means the company has the exclusive rights to produce greeting cards featuring any of the 60,000 + cartoons that have been published in the magazine. Ink Medias strategy is to develop different lines of cards with themes that correspond to specific types of retail outlets. So there would be a line of pet cards for pet stores, a line of wine-related cards for upscale wine stores, etc.
The Project
The project involves designing a point of purchase countertop display for upscale wine shopsa display that would carry wine-related greeting cards that feature New Yorker Magazine cartoons.
The display should be approximately two feet tall, it should be able to spin on a small base, and its 'footprint' on the counter should be no more than 1 1/2 square feet. The display should relate to wine in some fashion. It could have an inner cylinder that spins, with pockets for the cards attached to the cyclinder. As above, I'm not looking for an engineering drawing with exact measurements, rather I'm looking for a graphic that describes what a display could look like.
The display should have at least 12 'pockets' to hold up to 10 5x7 greeting cards and envelopes. The pockets should have small header signs that describe the types of cards in that specific pocket. The header signs will have text that say 'Birthday,' 'Thank you," "Wine," "Holidays," "Thinking of You," "and "love." Please note the pocket header signs can appear either above or below the card in the pocket.
I'd like a very interesting sign for the top of the entire display, not just a 2-dimensional rectangle that you see atop most displays. The sign could be round, it could have 3 sides, it could have 4 sides, it could have a die cut, etc. The sign can use the graphic of the Tilley character examining a wine bottle that's on the cover of 'The New Yorker Book of wine cartoons.' This book cover can be seen online by going to 'thennewyorkerstore.com' and entering 'book of wine cartoons' in the search box.
Please note the cards themselves are very simple--just a black and white cartoon printed on white card stock. These are blank cards (no 'sentiment' inside).
