I am looking for a set of digital graphics for a landing page very similar to what you see on Pawngo.com and Head2Heart.us. Probably closer to Pawngo... The site will be using the Twitter Bootstrap CSS framework. I am just looking for the main landing page graphic. It is important that this follow Web 2.0 conventions: clarity over beauty. We are trying to graphically convey the 5 steps in using the product.
Would also like 5 panels, with the landscape metaphor in the background. Each landscape in the panel will be slightly different but should show a smooth transition. Really like the SimCity like design. Metaphors for building or growing could work well. Needs to be something that everyone connects with.
(Note: We've re-ordered the panels to better reflect the workflow of our application).
Panel 1: Schedule - Capture your idea! Start by identifying the steps or tasks required to complete the project! (Graphic) Mostly barren landscape desert/field works. A person with an idea.
Panel 2: Socialize - Tell everyone about your project. Shamelessly self-promote your idea. Tweet/post on Facebook, LinkedIn, Tumblr, etc. Crowdsource for resources and recruit contributors. People start to show up. Preparations are and proposals are made.
(Graphic) Depict the beginnings of activity. Maybe a sign saying future site of ….
Panel 3: Resource - Identify and select those contributors who will participate in the project! (Graphic) Depending on the metaphor, people are showing up to work or the garden is being planted. Maybe someone is holding a calendar or blueprint and directing traffic.
Panel 4: Task and Track - Start the project and visualize progress! Solicit feedback and ratings from your contributors and general public. (Graphic) Things are mostly built or partially completed (if using crop or plantings metaphor - fruit or flowers are present). Important to depict that it is not 100% done.
(Graphic) Landscape starts to have some objects (trees, bushes, maybe a building going up. Bonus, show tasks checked off calendar and some sort of data visualization (chart, graph, gantt)
Panel 5: Project is finished. Time to Copy and Share - Save the project privately so that you can re-use again (skipping Step 1 next time) or make it public so that others can use as a plan/blueprint/template if they want to copy your success. Inspire others to use your template for their own projects.
Target audience is 30-40 somethings. We want to appeal to both small businesses that have commonly repeatable tasks that rely on outsourcing - law firms, agencies, building construction, etc. Also want to appeal to the do-it-yourselfer and hobbiest who might need some help.
