Robert G. Barnwell
I am a professor at a New York City based MBA program where I teach strategy development and implementation. In addition, I undertake consulting projects on behalf of large multi-national corporations. More details can be found at robertgbarnwell.com. However, in brief, I work with senior executives and seek designers and designs that build instant visual credibility and reputation.
The senior management (CEOs, COOs and CFOs) and board members of large multi-national corporations (primarily NYSE and NASDAQ-listed companies.) Companies range in size from $250.0 million in sales to as much as $2.5 billion or more. The companies are primarily manufacturers of consumer durables, industrial equipment, etc.
Overview:
(1) The template should be prepared in MS Word and should include consistent design elements which are "locked" in place so that the addition of typed content does not effect the key design elements.
(2) The template should allow some customization in terms of cover art/photos and interior graphs/illustrations.
Details:
(a) The white paper will be printed on three (3) 11" x 17" sheets of paper each with a single center fold resulting in booklet of 12-pages total (including front and rear covers.)
(b) The template should be properly paginated so that each sheet prints properly prior to fold and assembly.
(c) Key colors will be dark navy, burgundy, creams, and charcoals. Note: Please see robertgbarnwell.com for more detail on color and current designs.
(d) The attached file entitled "RCP White Paper Template" should serve as the basis of the interior layout with regard to columns, gutters, etc (although feel free to deviate with regard to table of contents, etc.)
(e) Several sample whitepapers are provided and you are encouraged to download other whitepapers for further inspiration. For the purposes of this project, I am particularly impressed with the cover design of the file entitled "Accenture Whitepaper" and the remaining design elements (including header and footer) from the file entitled "Accenture Analytical Talent."
