I have a picture of a monk. His name is Saint Charbel Makhluf. Born May 8, 1828. Died December 24, 1898. I want the picture to be enhanced with more clear detail of wrinkles, eye brows, eye lashes, beard , etc... I don't want the shadows around the eyes , nose and upper forehead removed. Would like to see the clothes also enhanced with detail, like creases or wear and tear. Not really fussed about a back ground, but a halo around the head or anything to complement his era is OK. In short, i want this picture in High Dynamic Range detail.

High resolution, sharp clear detail. Eliminate blurriness and smoothness.
Black and white picture OK.
Tweaking the picture with unsharp mask, auto enhance etc.. or simply running it through photomatix or alike, will not be enough.
I want the picture to be REALISTIC and LIFE-LIKE. Not cartoonish.
