We are working on a web app for early test and detection of dyslexia in students of all ages (7-25 yo.). The app itself consists of two elements:
1) An introduction - where the user enters a few details about himself
2) The tests - five different test types.
What we need:
A design that works for both children and young adults. Focus is very strictly on the text, readability and usability. The design and interface should in no way disturb the student in taking the tests. However - at the same time we would like the design to tie the whole app together and provide the user with a comfortable interface.
We need a proposal that includes the elements in the provided design draft. including (reference to the draft in paranthesis):
Title and description text (top)
text input fields (dit navn)
radio button selector (din uddannelse)
question box - with completed indicator (grey box with little green check mark)
sound button (Test 2 - same as sound button above)
Text buttons - 5 in a sort of grid (Test 2)
Graphic progress indicator (the draft shows progress as text 46 af 195)
Count button (Test 4)
We also need the following buttons:
all buttons should include mouse over and mouse down states.
As an extra feature the client would like some kind of subtle marking of the five different tests - this could be done with some subtle color shifts or maybe an icon of some sort for each test type (this is not included in the draft - and as such is not as important. Maybe provide a suggestion for one of the following test types):
1: Identifying real words
2: Identifying a specific spoken word
3: Spelling a spoken word
4: Counting sounds in a spoken word
5: Finding words with similar sounds
