HistoWiz is a biotechnology company in New York City that processes tissue specimens, digitizes the results, and provides a proprietary platform for online viewing and sharing of the images for cancer researchers in academia and industry. Our cancer image database facilitates the collaboration between scientists and clinicians, and also enable advances in discovery by allowing searching and comparison of cancer histopathology data across different laboratories around the world. Our mission is to fight cancer cooperatively instead of individually.
Unlike histology core facilities and CROs, We guarantee a 3 day turnaround time from wet tissue submission to digital result delivery and provides a cloud-based cancer image database, online collaboration features, low cost digital data management, and mouse cancer pathology expertise. Our novel HistoWiz App allows instant global access to virtual slides online on any PC, Mac and mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry) without the need to download additional software or gigabyte-sized files: app.histowiz.com/login?demo The web-based platform includes a unique image tagging technology which encourages information exchange among scientists, clinicians, and patients who are interested to learn more about a certain type of cancer.
We were founded in Jan 2013 and have over 500 customers from universities (e.g. MSKCC, Harvard, Columbia, Cornell, NYU, Mt Sinai, MD Anderson, Moffitt, NJ Cancer Institute), foundations (e.g. Jackson Laboratory, HHMI, Cancer Research UK), biotechs and pharma (e.g. Alexion, Regeneron, Pfizer, Rigel).
