Looking for a simple, clean album cover for a two-track EP titled Courtship (artist name Alma Cook).
The two songs, "King" & "Queen," are two sides of the same coin. They tell the story of a fickle guy who bit off more than he could chew; he fell hard for a chick, overcommitted, & wanted to think he was up for a challenge that he couldn't actually handle. The idea is that the king is a fraud / a joker. There's also an element of "why does this always happen to me?"—though self-pity isn't the thesis. The idea is that the queen is tired of things like this happening, but she'll be okay.
Two types of imagery come to mind for this cover: chess pieces & playing cards (one or the other; don't combine). I love the idea of having a queen chess piece standing next to a pawn, showing how the king is out of his league. Running with a totally different idea, playing cards could be fun too, though, especially if a joker is used in place of the king card.
I'm attracted to the album art of Anderson .Paak, Emily King, & Mac Miller—primarily the ones with lots of empty space. I like photos, drawings, & hybrids. My main thing is that I don't like busy.
