We're after a poster design for a feature film that is yet to be made. The poster will be used at film markets (similar to a trades show) and in pitch documents to aid in financing.
It needs to look slick, eye grabbing and fit right in on a cinema lobby wall. The film is a crime/comedy set in the 90s, so we want to capture the fun and danger of the story. Think 'In Bruges', 'Hot Fuzz' and 'Fargo' the TV series.
Key image ideas - comedy, heist, poker, 90s, Christmas (not all need to be included, but these are elements in the film)
About the film:-
PLAN C - Synopsis
Ed's never had much luck in life. He's stuck in the ass end of the world, with a wife that hates him, a daughter that doesn't respect him and a gambling addiction his police pay check can't accommodate. Ok, the last part's his fault. Actually, all of it's his fault.
So when the Triads threaten to harm Ed's family if he doesn't make good on his gambling debts, he does the only logical thing he can think of - he hires two petty criminals to help rob an illegal poker tournament. Quick, simple and non- violent - the plan is foolproof... until people start getting killed.
Poker is a game of skill and luck. Ed has been dealt none of these things.
INFO TO BE INCLUDED ON THE POSTER (usually at the bottom)

LOGOS (usually bottom right, but whatever looks best)
Attached are references of posters/images from other films in a similar tonal territory. We do not have images of cast yet, so the poster may have to be purely graphical at this stage or use images of people with obscured faces (either silhouette, backs to camera or with masks/panty hose disguising them).
We will need delivered a printable PDF for a standard movie poster, plus any working files, PSD or other, as we will likely need to change details as more elements of the film come together.
