I am a composer of music for choruses, orchestras, and soloists. I've written a piece that The Angel City Chorale will perform. The Angel City Chorale is a diverse choir of 160 singers that has over 4.5 million YouTube views for one of our videos. This design is for a composition that I own and have written, and that will be premiered by The Angel City Chorale. The target audience is music directors who are looking for new music to perform with their own choruses. Location: worldwide. Interests: SATB choral music, innovation, science, connection to audiences, technology, original compositions, new compositions, and an interest in something different from what every other chorus is singing.

DESIGN An exciting poster that communicates the awesomeness of the universe (galaxies, gravitational waves/ripples, stars, empty space), and possibly also that humans are connected to one another (in a good way) through the emotional "ripples" we make in our communities. DESIGN EMOTIONS The overall feeling can be described as, on the one hand: awesome, immense, 2017 science fiction or science fantasy; And also on the other hand as: warm, loving, human connection, nature. These might be two different approaches for different poster concepts, or they might be somehow combined into one poster. See the song lyrics below for more inspiration. I'm also open to other options I haven't thought of, if they support the lyrics. BACKGROUND I've written a piece called "A Vibration" for chorus, Moog synthesizer, orchestra, and mobile apps. It will be performed live for 2000 people in June. POSTER I'd like a poster of "A Vibration" that I can use at music conferences, to help sell the sheet music to chorus directors. I envision an image that I could print out in postcard size, or on a full standard sheet of inkjet printer paper. GOAL The goal is to inspire people to contact me to buy the piece. This goal may be achieved by communicating that this piece is not like all of the other pieces that choruses sing. We don't need to share all of them, but some of the things that make this piece different and exciting for a chorus director are: a) This piece combines science and music, b) it uses actual sounds from the LIGO gravitational wave discovery, which is incredibly exciting (people will win Noble prizes for it) and which just happened last year, c) it uses the audience's cell phones to play some of the music.
BACKGROUND The lyrics of the piece use the recent discovery of gravitational waves at two LIGO detectors to make the point that all of us are connected to one another, and to everything in the universe. At the beginning of 2016, scientists announced that the LIGO detector had finally detected (and discovered) gravitational waves (which Albert Einstein had predicted). The piece "A Vibration" is about science, cosmology, astronomy, physics, quantum theory, Einstein, and the universe; but it is also about connection, love, community, compassion, and empathy. POSTER TEXT I envision the following text on the poster: A Vibration For SATB, piano, synth, and mobile apps Andrew Cheeseman +1 310.570.2920 acc@VesuvioMusic.com VISUAL INSPIRATION Possible inspiration for the human connection part of the message: See the website for the mobile app, which will be used during the performances of "A Vibration" that may provide inspiration about the human component: www.YourchestraApp.com Possible inspiration for the science part are the following astronomy photos: 1.
