The task is to design a movie poster for the film "August Lucey."
I think that the right look is either something that looks like a poster from a classic French film from the 1970s, or a font or design that is reminiscent of a protest poster. I've attached some examples of posters or art that are along the lines of what I'm thinking for inspiration. In my mind, the color schema beyond the photograph should be red, with white and black as secondary colors. But open to ideas.
The central image of the poster should be the photograph of the main character August Lucey, holding a chicken (which is attached). I like the idea of the image being used full-bleed with text added, but I am open to the image being cropped or edited in another way, as long as it is present on the poster in some fashion. I think I want the main image to remain in color, but open to other possibilities.
Poster size & format:
The poster should be able to be printed as a standard 27" x 41" size, in portrait orientation, as well as a smaller size, about 18" x 24".
Text to appear on the poster:
The most prominent text on the poster should be the name of the film: August Lucey
Other text, all at equal prominence:
A film by Dylan Latimer and Jesse Karch
John Christopher Morton
Michael James Collins
Final delivery should include layered art files and fonts.
