A poster for a large event in September. This event will have many adaptive activities (kayak, rock climbing, volleyball, massage, Tai Chi, yoga, Pilates, etc). This activity day is called "Soar!" and it is for people 16+. The purpose of the day is to try new activities, discover a sense of adventure, and meet others who are experiencing similar challenges. Participants are encouraged to bring a family member or friend (part of their support team). There is a $25 ticket fee, which includes all activities, a catered lunch, a Hydroflask bottle (retail $40), and entrance for one family/friend. It is challenging to communicate the population (physical disabilities and chronic conditions - i.e. stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, etc). I want this to be a fun, interactive day where people feel confident to jump in and try something new. We also need volunteers and sponsors to make the day happen. Registration is on our website and Eventbrite. I want to communicate that this is open to people of all ages (16+), and any activity level. Be creative! Remember that too much contrast, small words or complex fonts can be challenging for people to read. Don't make it too busy.
Here are the details for the event:
