We need additional poster art. Anything strange or odd related to plants, trees or horticulture. You can see the first Poster I designed called 'Anti-Gravity Bonsai'.
You can have plants or trees with human or animal characteristics. They can be gross, weird, happy, sad, odd. For the most part almost anything goes. It is for kids, so nothing profane or sexual.
As long as it is fun to look at, I'm interested.
I've attached a few Garbage Pail Kids, these are from my childhood and I loved them. I'd like to do something like them, but with Horticulture, however, have a bit more of an art feel to them. (Meaning, more of a realistic, illustration type drawing.)
I've attached a link to download the Photoshop template. (I need a Photoshop file with all the Layers as the deliverable to me.)
It is 16 x 24 inches and 300dpi and needs to be kept at this size. There is also a Sticker Layer. Please click this transparent Layer so you can see where to keep your artwork in the safe zone.
You're welcome to take away the background and the table and put in your own background, or just use mine. Please leave the "Ms. Higleys Horticulture" at the top as well as the Name Plate at the bottom.
You're welcome to give your artwork a name in the Name Plate.
I would also prefer if you based your artwork off real plants. But it's not a necessity.
A few examples would be a Venus Fly-Trap (like one of the Garbage Pail Kids) or an Aloe Plant. If you can make an Aloe Plant strange and fun to look at, that would be awesome.
You can also do a rose or a rose bush. Meaning, it doesn't need to be limited to just one plant, you can have many plants if it fits your design. You can have an actual person in the artwork as well. An example, a farmer pulling out an impossible weed from the ground.
I also added a sketch of a skeleton girl from a South American artist. When I saw it, I got the idea of her growing out of a pot. If you want give that a try, it would be neat to see what you can come up with.
Pretty much as long as it relates to horticulture, is odd and fun to look at; I'm interested.
I will actually need eleven more of these to make twelve total. We will be releasing one-a-month, over the next year on Higleys.com
