We are a group of broke comics with writing and production skills that decided to make films. Our award winning stories and characters are as quirky as we are.

We're looking for a poster for our quirky short film :)
Title: Dear George
Genre: Romantic Comedy
A film by: Emily Skyle
Tagline: You can't catch a love you're too chicken to chase.
Logline: When his high school sweetheart packs up her things and moves out of state for a job, a lovable down on his luck and set in his ways self proclaimed couch potato decides to face his fears to get her back. He sets off on a cross country adventure filled with a chicken costume, TSA shakedowns, Acapella groups and bad decisions.
We have an idea of what we want, but we're filmmakers, not designers - so feel free to totally do your do! That said, here's what we were thinking...
After scouring the internet for inspiration, we landed on a series of posters for Forrest Gump. Our main character is a 6.4" chubby guy (George) that met his childhood sweetheart (Katie) debating which came first, the chicken or the egg. They fall in love. 25 years later she's ready to break out of her shell and he's too chicken to admit he's scared of change. She sends him a "Dear John" break-up letter. After time spent apart, George hits rock bottom and decides to face his fears and admit he's a chicken. He buys a plane ticket and chases after her...all while dressed in an adult version of the chicken costume picture I've attached here.
Why the Gump poster? 1. Incorporates the feather - George's costume is covered in white feathers. 2. The Bench - we love that it shows him from the back and in our film George is on a bench the lonely moment he makes the choice to change after a drunken former southern showgirl turned sorta-mom tells him "You can't catch something that you're too chicken to chase" 3. We're just in love with the feel of the poster's imagery, minus the font choice and text placement.
We've attached pictures of stuff we'd like to see you put your own stamp on, but we're also totally open to your ideas!
UPDATE: We are getting a great range of designs - and several are definitely being considered, but we would still REALLY love to see a poster with the following elements:
1. George, in a fluffy white chicken costume, sitting alone (bench would be great) heartbroken.
2. Since he takes a plane across the country, we'd love to see the title "Dear George" written in the clouds by a plane.
We Because we are in pre-production, we don't have production stills. As a result we understand that the image of "George" will likely be a drawing, pixar-ish effect, shadow or outline. Here are the kodak moments we have been inspired by :) NOTE: For those of you incorporating George and his costume - we have just uploaded a picture of an adult female wearing a prototype of the costume. However, George will be wearing dark yellow-orange tights as seen in the baby costume version.
