Anu Bhaskar (Personal)
My brother is getting married, and the wedding is a very elaborate multi-event celebration. Their website is RajandRajul.com.
I am hosting a Casino Night as an event leading up to my brother's wedding. All of the other wedding events have a very formal Indian-style invitation, and, I'm looking to diverge from that style for this event.
I want the style of the invitation to be an over-the-top design, focusing on the casino aspect of the party. Also, it should be prominent that I am hosting the event. One idea I had was to have a Craps table with a dealer (dressed in an over-the-top dealer outfit [e.g. Velvet jacket, top hat, etc]) with my picture cropped in (see attachments for pics of me). The goal is to be over the top in a way that is somewhat funny. The invitation should be somewhat club promotion flier-esque. Dice, chips, playing cards, etc are a welcome addition anywhere on the card. Have fun while trying to make the card flashy.
I would like the invitation to fit on a 9x6 postcard.
Mandatory Info that needs to be on postcard:
Casino Night "Sangeet"
Thursday, June 9th, 2011
7:30PM
"Anu Bhaskar presents..." is optional
The more detailed info (e.g. Address) will be put on the other side of the postcard, which I don't wish to have designed at this time, though I may ask to have that done in the future.
Thanks,
Anu
I've attached pictures of myself as an example of what could be used to crop me in. I could provide more (or higher quality) pictures at the designers request.
I'm open to a variety of different designs...it doesn't have to fit my above description (e.g. with a dealer over a craps table) exactly, so long as the casino aspect is in full effect and the design is flashy.
