• Design structure
We sell two types of Olive Oil (Extra Virgin and Refined). By using a puzzle-like illustration, we want that when we put the two bottles next to each other, they form a decorative pattern. The reason is to incentivize the customers to buy both, as putting them next to each other adds a nice decoration to their kitchen. We will use square-shaped bottles.
A very crucial aspect in designing the illustration for these two bottles is that each bottle should still have a complete design on its own, so if someone buys only one of them, or puts them next to each other in any order, it is not deformed or incomplete.
• Some examples to clarify what we want
1)The general structure
Word files 1 show a schematic view of the front design of the two bottles, plus the text (English and Persian) on each.
2)Puzzle-like design of bottles
Picture 2 and 3 present example of a design of bottles such that putting them next to each other forms a pattern.
3)General coloring theme
Pictures 4, 5 and 6 show the general coloring theme we want to have:
White background (our bottles are dark green); minimalistic and sleek design atmosphere
4)Stand-alone ability of each bottle
Picture 7 shows the point that the design should be done in a way that each bottle still has a complete design on its own. So buying one of them is still ok. One initial suggestion is that, like what you see in picture 7, use the sides of bottles for this purpose.
(like picture 7, our label is in one-piece which goes round the bottle)
• Ideas for the puzzle
We have three general ideas:
1)use an olive related illustration such as olive tree in picture 2
2)use a mosaic-like seamless pattern (Spanish, Arabic, Persian), like what you see in pictures 8, 9, 10 and 11.
3)surprise us with a nice creative idea
• A final suggestion
To make the process more efficient, I suggest that you first get an initial confirmation for the general idea/illustration and then proceed with implementing it on the two bottles.
