We distill high quality Icelandic Brennivín (Aquavite) from 100% Icelandic Barley and other native herbs and botanicals. Our distilled spirit is a high end spirit with an ABV of 47% and is intended for sales locally and on an export market.
Eimverk Distillery is a growing Icelandic Whisky Distillery making Icelands first and only whisky; Flóki, as well as a premium Icelandic Gin; Vor and a premium Icelandic Aquavite; Víti.
¿Qué te inspira y qué diseño imaginas para tu empresa?
We are looking for a label that captures the purity and hand crafted nature of our spirit as well as being an omen to the traditions and history of Brennivín in Iceland.
Our bottles are plain and the label should also be relatively simple in form and graphics as to suggest the practice of making small scale distillates of Brennivín that were common practice in Icelandic farms in the 20th century. As such we would like to explore look that demonstrates the product is "Straight from the Farmer".
We put much emphasis on terroir of indigence and provenance, and would like that reflected in the label design. We produce our spirit from scratch using 100% Icelandic barley purposefully grown by small scale local farmers.
The spirit is made grain to glass in our distillery and is triple pot-distilled using our custom made distillation units. We introduce caraway seeds and other native herbs and botanicals in the 3rd distillation run which carefully extracts the full flavor of the botanicals and creates a unique and rich taste and experience for those enjoying the spirit.
Icelandic Brennivín is a caraway seed flavored spirit which is considered Icelands signiture distilled spirit, it is in many ways similar to Aquavite in terms of taste and production. See more details here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brenniv%C3%ADn
We are happy to see creative approaches to this subject but we feel that the following product messages would be beneficial in marketing the products, examples: "Hand Crafted", "Old Style Brennivín" "100% Icelandic", "Grain to Glass in Iceland", "Premium Spirit", "Straight from the Farmer" etc.
This is a label re-branding where we want to put more emphasis on Brennivín instead of Aquavite. The product name is Víti (Icelandic for "Hell"), and the name should be displayed in some way on the label, however the "Brennivín" title should be predominant.
The current label as well as the bottle design we are using is attached to the brief. However we are not looking for designs that are a variation of the original idea, but rather a totally new approach which addresses many of the elements described in the brief in a creative and effective way.
